Happy Thanksgiving

I’m sorry we haven’t updated the blog in quite a while but we have been very busy over the last couple of weeks since the fundraiser. We really wanted to make sure this Thanksgiving blog was entered.

What are you thankful for this year???

This is what we are thankful for……

-Dr. Jordan Orange.
-Getting a true diagnosis.
-Jack recovering from his stroke.
-Not having a hospital stay or an emergency room visit in 8 months (which is a new record).
-Stem cell research.
-Knowing we have a donor for Jack’s stem cell transplant.
-All the doctors and nurses at CHOP.
-Christina being a good healer from her broken arm.
-Oma and Opa Malfitano for keeping the roof over our heads.
-Opa making it 18 months with his cancer and surviving internal bleeding and an emergency spleenectomy (just 2 weeks ago).
-Everyone who contributed to the fundraisers and the great response we got.
-The Trevino family, especially Andres for making this wonderful website.
-Andy Trevino for getting a successful stem cell transplant and making it through 1 year post transplant with minimal or minor complications. (And, giving us the hope that Jack’s transplant will be just as successful).
-All the prayers.
-And, most of all, YOU for being our friends, supporting us in our time of need and giving us everything to be thankful for.

This has been an incredible year and we are so grateful to everyone. We can’t thank each of you enough. We have never before felt such a great warmth and outpouring of generosity that people have shown to us and especially the “strangers” who we can now call friends!!!!!!

There is a new meaning to “Thanksgiving” in the Hagelin household. And, thanks to medical technology, computers, and great people, we can really appreciate the holiday.

Thank you all and we hope everyone has a very happy, healthy, steadfast Holiday Season.
